We will take action against those who sell Remdesivir at high prices : Peddireddy

Tirupati, April 25 : State Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy today warned all those who are selling the crucial Remdesivir injections at high prices.
Speaking to media persons in the city, he also warned that they would keep all the hospitals which don’t follow Covid 19 rules and norms and who don’t enter their details online in black list. He said that complaints regarding charging Rs.20,000 to Rs.60,000 from Covid 19 patients had come to their notice . He said that they had already issued orders to all the district collectors to book cases against all those who are selling the Remdesivir injections for more than Rs.2500 and cancel their recognition.
He made it clear that they would not tolerate any kind of irregularities by the Covid 19 hospitals and added that they would also remove all Such hospitals from the list of Aarogyasri cashless health care scheme. Citing the steep increase in the number of the Covid 19 cases he said that they were transforming some engineering colleges of the state into Covid 19 treatment Centers and added that orders had already been issued towards this direction. Noting that the night curfew is already in force in the state, Reddy said that it would be better if the owners of commercial establishments voluntarily came forward and close their establishments.
He said that they were also taking steps for the declaration of the Covid 19 result in one day. Commenting on the supply of oxygen , he said they had made available to oxygen tankers to swims and Ruya hospitals.
