Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,137 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities on Saturday, taking the overall toll to 1033 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1, 71,306. As on Saturday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 30,573.
As many as 2,192 persons have recovered by Saturday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,39,700 with a recovery rate of 81.54 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 79.65 percent.
Between Friday and Saturday, 53,811 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1,185 samples are awaited. Cumulatively, so far 24,88,220 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the Telangana State out of which 1,71,306 have tested positive and 1,39,700 persons have recovered.
Out of out 30,573 active cases, as many as 24,019 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,554 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 20 from Adilabad, 51 from Bhadradri, 322 from areas under GHMC, 42 from Jagtiyal, 34 from Jangaon, 21 from Bupalapally, 27 from Gadwal, 60 from Kamareddy, 132 from Karimnagar, 90 from Khammam, 16 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 28 from Mahabubnagar, 72 from Mahabubabad, 38 from Mancherial, 28 from Medak, 146 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 15 Mulugu, 37 from Nagarkurnool, 124 from Nalgonda, nine from Narayanpet, 24 from Nirmal, 72 from Nizamabad, 48 from Peddapally, 57 from Siricilla, 182 from Rangareddy, 65 from Sangareddy, 109 each from Siddipet, 61 from Suryapet, 29 from Vikarabad, 29 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 90 from Warangal Urban and 35 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
