Hyderabad: Telangana State has recorded 2, 384 new Covid-19 infections and 11 fatalities on Saturday taking the overall toll to 755 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 1, 04, 249. The total active cases as on Saturday night in the State was 22, 908.
In terms of ramping up the number of Covid-19 tests, for the second consecutive day, the State health authorities have managed to breach the 40,000 mark. Between Friday and Saturday night, authorities conducted 40,666 Covid tests while test results of another 1, 347 swab samples are awaited. Earlier, between Thursday and Friday night, authorities had conducted 43, 095 Covid tests, crossing the 40,000 Covid tests mark for the first time in the State during the ongoing pandemic
As many as 1, 851 persons the State have recovered Between Friday and Saturday, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 80, 586 with a recovery rate of 77.30 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 74.69 per cent
So far, a total of 9, 31, 831 swab samples have been tested in the state out of which 1, 04, 249 have tested positive and 80, 586 persons have recovered. According to the health bulletin, the mortality rate in the State is 0.72 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.87 per cent.
Out of the 22, 908 active Covid positive patients, as many as 16, 379 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 6, 529 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 25 from Adilabad, 52 from Bhadradri, 472 from areas under GHMC, 105 from Jagtiyal, 30 from Jangaon, seven from Bupalapally, 68 from Gadwal, 69 from Kamareddy, 120 from Karimnagar, 105 from Khammam, 12 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 61 from Mahabubnagar, 52 from Mahabubabad, 90 from Mancherial, 23 from Medak, 52 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 19 Mulugu, 29 from Nagarkurnool, 137 from Nalgonda, 13 from Narayanpet, 19 from Nirmal, 148 from Nizamabad, 65 from Peddapally, 42 from Siricilla, 131 from Rangareddy, 61 from Sangareddy, 67 from Siddipet, 110 from Suryapet, 19 from Vikarabad, 47 from Wanaparthy, 21 from Warangal Rural, 85 from Warangal Urban and 28 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
