Hyderabad, Aug.24 (Safir News): A delegation of Telangana Information and Technology Association(TITA) led by its Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala met Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy and submitted a memorandum appealing to him to take steps to include Mudumal menhirs site (Narayanpet dist) in the tentative nomination list for World Heritage Site tag from India. The Union Minister directed the delegation to come up with a comprehensive report on the importance of the archaeological site in the form of a documentary. He assured the TITA delegation that he would take up the issue with officials of his department and discuss the action plan need to take up to include the site in the tentative nomination list for UNESCO World Heritage Sites.The Minister praised TITA for making efforts for the preservation of the ancient site at Mudumal and coming up with the demand for its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The TITA team submitted a report of the menhirs site which TITA prepared after its members led by its chief Sundeep Makthala visited the site recently. The delegation said that the development of the ancient site will boost tourism opportunities and pave the way to ample growth in the region.The Union Minister enquired about the ancient site and asked the TITA team to come with a comprehensive documentary of the site. He also assured TITA that he would discuss the issue with the officials of the tourism department and devise a strategy accordingly.
