Telangana has 17,849 vacant beds for Covid-19 patients

Hyderabad: There are 17,849 vacant beds available for Covid-19 patients in Government hospitals and private teaching hospitals combined, according to the State health bulletin, as on Monday night. The beds in private teaching hospitals are provided for free of cost by the State government.

Beds in Government hospitals and private teaching hospitals (combined)

Isolation beds: 12, 284 (available) 698 (occupied) 11, 586 (vacant)

Oxygen Beds: 5861 (available) 1, 084 (occupied) 4, 777 (vacant)

ICU beds: 2, 251 (available) 765 (occupied) 1, 486 (vacant)

Total: 20, 396 (available) 2, 547 (occupied) 17, 849 (vacant)

Beds in only Government Hospitals:

Regular isolation beds: 2055 (Total); 698 (Occupied); 1357 (Vacant)

Beds with Oxygen supply: 4673 (total); 1084 (Occupied); 3589 (vacant)

ICU beds with ventilators: 1224 (total); 765 (Occupied); 459 (vacant)

Total: 7952 (total); 2547 (occupied); 5405 (vacant)

Beds in private hospitals:

Regular isolation beds: 2794 (Total); 1323 (Occupied); 1471 (Vacant)

Beds with Oxygen supply: 3492 (total); 1907 (Occupied); 1585 (vacant)

ICU beds with ventilators: 1569 (total); 752 (Occupied); 817 (vacant)
