Kovind, Venkaiah, Modi, Mamata, Narasimhan others Greet KCR on 65th Birthday

Hyderabad, Feb.17 (NSS): On the occasion of Birthday of State Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, President Ramnath Kovind, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed Birthday greetings over phone to the Chief Minister.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Kovind, Modi and Venkaiah conveyed their greetings to Rao over phone. Modi also greeted the Chief Minister on Twitter. “May Almighty bless him with a long life filled with good health”.
Governor E S L Narasimhan wished KCR on his Birthday and extended warm Greetings to him.  The Governor wished him a “long and healthy life in the service of Telangana State and its people”.
It may be mentioned that KCR has already announced that he will not celebrate his birthday in the wake of the February 14 Pulwama terror attack that claimed the lives of 49 CRPF troopers. KCR said at a time when the nation was in a state of grief it would not be proper on his part to celebrate. The Chief Minister has asked all leaders and cadres of his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) not to organise any celebrations.

Wishes poured in from different parts of the country on KCR’s 65th birthday today. West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Bannerjee, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief and Leader of the opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were among those who  conveyed  birthday wishes to the Chief Minister through Twitter. Jagan tweeted: Happy birthday KCR garu. Wishing you a long healthy and prosperous life”.
